Online Gamepad Tester
Check controller buttons, analog sticks, triggers, and vibration directly in your browser.
Controller connection
No controller detected
- Connect your controller with USB or Bluetooth.
- Press any button on it. Some browsers only expose a controller after a button press.
- If nothing happens, unplug and reconnect it, then press a button again. Depending on the browser, a controller may need to be connected before or after you open this page.
Controllers connected: 0. The selector is enabled when more than one is connected.
Reset Test clears your progress but keeps the controller connected. Clear Results also clears the event log and summary.

Connect a controller to see its sticks here.
A stick counts as neutral while its distance from center is within this threshold. A small resting offset is normal and varies between controllers, so these readings are approximate and are not a precise drift measurement. Y values are negative when the stick is pushed up.

Connect a controller and press a button to list its buttons.
All axes
No axes to show yet.
An axis counts as moved once it travels at least half the full range from its first reading.

Connect a controller to test its triggers.
Analog values are shown only if the controller reports them. A trigger that only ever reads 0 or 1 may be digital.
Vibration test
Not tested yet.
Vibration only starts when you press Test Vibration, and intensity and duration are limited to short, gentle values. Not every browser, operating system or controller allows web pages to trigger vibration. Support: No controller.

Depending on the browser, the controller may need to be connected before or after you open the page. Results depend on what your browser, operating system and controller expose through the Gamepad API.
Privacy notice
Controller inputs are read in your browser and are not sent to any server. Frequently asked questions
How do I test my game controller online?
Connect your controller with USB or Bluetooth, open this page and press a button so the browser exposes it. If several controllers are connected, choose one in the selector. Then press every button, move both analog sticks, squeeze the triggers and, if available, run the vibration test. Select Finish Test to see a summary of what the browser received.
Why is my controller not detected?
Most browsers only expose a controller after you press a button while the page is open and focused. Also check that the controller is powered, paired or plugged in, try another cable or USB port, and close apps or overlays that may be using the controller exclusively. Some controllers have a mode switch (for example XInput or DInput) that changes how they appear. Support depends on the browser, operating system, controller and connection method.
Can I test an Xbox controller?
Usually yes. Xbox controllers connected by USB, a wireless adapter or Bluetooth are commonly exposed with the standard mapping in current Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Some buttons, such as Share or Guide, may not be reported by every browser and operating system combination.
Can I test a PlayStation controller?
Often yes. DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers generally work over USB or Bluetooth in modern browsers, but what is exposed varies by browser and operating system. This tool tests the buttons, sticks and triggers the browser reports. It does not test the touchpad, motion sensors, lightbar, speaker or adaptive trigger effects.
How do I test analog stick drift?
Let go of the stick and watch its live X and Y values. A perfectly centered stick reads close to 0, and small offsets are normal. If a stick keeps reading outside the neutral threshold while you are not touching it, that can point to drift. You can adjust the threshold on this page. The readings are approximate and are not a laboratory calibration, so confirm with your system or game controller settings too.
Can I test controller vibration in my browser?
Sometimes. Browser-triggered vibration needs support from the browser, operating system and controller, and many combinations do not expose it. When it is available, the vibration test only runs after you press the button and uses a short, low-intensity pulse. If you feel nothing, that does not prove the motors are faulty.
Why do my controller button labels look different?
The tester only shows names such as A, B, X and Y when the browser reports the standard mapping, which follows an Xbox-style layout by position. On a PlayStation controller, for example, the bottom face button is labeled A here but is Cross on the controller. If the controller does not use the standard mapping, the tester shows generic Button and Axis numbers instead of guessing.
Does this gamepad tester install software?
No. It runs in your browser using the built-in Gamepad API. There is nothing to download, and no extension or driver is installed by this page. Your operating system may still need its own driver for the controller.
Does the website store my controller inputs?
No. Controller inputs are read and processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded by this tool. Results stay in page memory and are not saved to cookies or local storage, so they disappear when you reload or close the page. Like any website, the host may log ordinary page requests, but your controller inputs are not part of them.
