About Hardware-Tester.com
Hardware-Tester.com is a free website for quick hardware checks that can run in a web browser. The goal is to help you confirm that a keyboard key registers, a microphone is picking up sound, headphones play the correct channel, a controller is connected, or that the browser can run a simple graphics or performance check.
What this site is
A collection of independent tools. Each tester lives on its own URL so it can be built carefully, with feature detection and honest results.
What this site is not
It is not a replacement for BIOS diagnostics, manufacturer utilities, or professional repair testing. Browsers are sandboxed for safety. They cannot report many hardware details that desktop software can see.
How we label results
When testers ship, each result will be grouped as one of the following:
- Actual hardware input — for example a real key press or microphone signal after permission.
- Browser-accessible information — values the browser is allowed to expose.
- Benchmark results — timed performance checks, not a hardware health certificate.
- Stress or simulated checks — only if clearly labeled, never presented as a sensor reading.
Individual testers are not built yet. The pages in the Tools menu are placeholders until each test is implemented.
